For a sustainable lifestyle

eneloop lite combines the performance and convenience of dry batteries with the eco-friendly efficiency of rechargeable batteries. Every time you reuse eneloop lite, you're not just saving money. You're also helping to protect our planet.

The best of both worlds

Product information

Recharge up to 3000 times*

Every time you reuse eneloop lite, you're saving on the cost of replacement dry batteries and reducing waste. Your investment pays for itself over the life of the product, and you'll feel great about doing your part for the earth.

* Testing method established by IEC 61951-2 2011 (7.5.1.3). 1000 times based on IEC 61951-2 2017 (7.5.1.4). Varies according to conditions of use.

Retains 70%* after five years

We've improved the metal-hydride alloy lattice inside your eneloop lite battery so that it retains 70%* capacity even after five years in storage. The design also resists voltage drop during discharge and minimizes loss of capacity. Once charged, you can trust eneloop lite to work just like a dry battery, and its long storage life is great in emergencies.

* Capacity is based on the testing method established by IEC 61951-2 (7.3.2) when stored at 20 °C (based on Panasonic's estimation) and compared with minimum capacity. Varies according to conditions of use.

An affordable, eco-friendly answer to your everyday needs

Life runs on batteries, yet we barely notice them until they run flat. eneloop lite was developed as an affordable solution to the costly waste of single-use batteries. It has a handy capacity, reliable voltage, and fantastic cost performance for daily use, working for longer than comparable dry batteries over thousands of cycles. Swap them into your devices, recharge the flat ones, and sustain your clean energy loop for years.

* Capacity based on testing method established by IEC 61951-2 2017 (7.3.2).

Lasting power in a wide temperature range

Your eneloop lite batteries maintain excellent discharge performance even when used in heat and cold. The batteries are rated for use in temperatures between -20 °C and 50 °C, which is great for outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, photography, and camping.

* Operation time will be shorter than operation time at room temperature and varies according to the equipment used.

Pre-charged with solar energy and ready to use

Before eneloop lite batteries are shipped, they're charged with solar energy at the factory as part of our participation in the Green Certificate system and the Panasonic Environment Vision 2050 initiative, where our company aims to generate more energy than we use by 2050. Of course, pre-charging means you can use it immediately after purchase.

Made in Japan

eneloop lite is designed, manufactured, and tested in Japan to rigorous quality control standards and is available in about 70 countries* around the world. Use with the confidence that comes from products made to the highest standards of Japanese craftsmanship.

* For the eneloop series as of December 2021.

Works in a variety of devices

While eneloop lite has slightly lower voltage than equivalent dry batteries, it works better in almost any device where standard batteries are used. Its modest capacity and stable discharge voltage are perfect for low- and mid-drain applications in clocks, game controllers, computer mouses, and toys. It powers your gear more reliably and for longer than most single-use alternatives.

Note: eneloop lite cannot be used in devices with airtight battery compartments, such as water-proof flashlights.

Recharge anytime you want

Unique battery and charger technology suppresses the memory effect in eneloop lite batteries, which means you can top them up anytime without reducing their capacity. To avoid the memory effect with other rechargeable batteries, you may have to run them flat before you can recharge, which isn't always practical. With eneloop lite, you can recharge whenever you want without worrying about reduced battery life.

Note: Memory effect is a phenomenon that can occur in some types of rechargeable battery. The effect occurs when the battery is repeatedly recharged before it has been fully discharged, causing it to "remember" the shorter capacity and eventually leading to a decrease in overall battery life.

Note: The above specifications are based on the theoretical capacity of the battery and the consumption power rate of the equipment. Results may vary greatly depending on the conditions of use, models used, ambient temperature, and equipment condition. Runtime of eneloop is measured with battery fully charged. Performance time may be shorter if the battery has been left unused for a period of time after being fully charged. All data is approximate. Runtime specifications may be different when eneloop is used with appliances not included in the table.
